Boundless' Public Safety Video Channels
Boundless uses bandwidth-saving video on demand with near-camera recording of many different digital video streams per camera, not bandwidth-wasting IP-video streaming with central recording of a single video stream. Boundless records better video than can be sent live over most wireless wide area networks, improving the quality of recorded video for investigations, and increasing the number of cameras that can be used in a neighborhood.
Live uplink data rates are shown in green above each video stream below. Most live video below is medium resolution (320x240) and 10 or 15 fps. Continuously recorded video, time-shifted video, and, bandwidth-permitting, live video, are provided by Boundless' Multi-Stream Video Server at many (typ. 5 to 8) resolutions, frame rates and data rates simultaneously for each camera for best clarity and communications. Only one of these many different video streams for each camera is shown for each channel.
